The title of this blog comes from the first verse of Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee.
Joyful, joyful we adore Thee,
God of glory, Lord of love.
Hearts unfold like flow'rs before Thee
Opening to the Sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness,
Drive the dark of doubt away.
Giver of immortal gladness
fill us with the light of day!
I love the word picture of people unfolding their hearts before the warmth of God's love and goodness. In a time when many girls feel the need to hide their true personalities and feelings from the ridicule of the world God encourages us to, "Pour out [our] hearts before Him". (Psalm 62:8)
So while I'm starting the grown-up part of my life in bits and pieces, waiting for God to reveal the next step, I want to encourage you by sharing what I'm learning along the way.
